Pusha T Confirms New Album With Pharrell — And More Clipse Music Is Coming
Apparently, Pusha T and Pharrell Williams aren't interested in taking a victory lap.
They're already making more music.
During a September 3 appearance on The Breakfast Club, Pusha T revealed that he's back in the studio following Clipse's recent touring run — and it sounds like there's a lot more coming from the Virginia crew.
When asked whether he was working on a solo album or another Clipse project, Push's answer was basically:
Everything.
He confirmed that one project is already finished and another is currently being worked on. When DJ Envy asked if Pharrell was involved, Push made that part very clear: Pharrell is the producer he's working with.
So after waiting more than 15 years for another Clipse album, fans apparently won't have to wait nearly as long for the next chapter.
Pusha T Is Already Working on His Next Album
Pusha T's last solo album was 2022's It's Almost Dry, which featured production from Pharrell and Kanye West.
Now Push is back working with Pharrell again.
While reports have described the completed project as Pusha T's next solo album, Push himself was deliberately vague during The Breakfast Club interview about exactly which project is finished.
What he did confirm is more interesting anyway:
There's more than one project happening.
Asked whether he was working on his album or another Clipse album, Push responded that they were working on "everything" and said one project was already complete while another was underway.
For anyone who's followed Pusha T and Pharrell's history, that's a pretty big deal.
Pharrell and Pusha T Go Way Back
Pharrell isn't just another producer Pusha T happens to work with.
He's part of the DNA of Clipse.
As part of The Neptunes with Chad Hugo, Pharrell helped create the sound behind Clipse's breakthrough, including their 2002 debut album Lord Willin' and records like "Grindin'."
That relationship continued through albums including Hell Hath No Fury, while Pharrell also remained an important collaborator throughout Pusha T's solo career.
Then, more than a decade after Clipse effectively went on hiatus, Pusha T and Malice reunited with Pharrell for a full album.
The result was 2025's Let God Sort Em Out.
And apparently they aren't done yet.
Clipse's Comeback Wasn't a One-Off
When Clipse released Let God Sort Em Out in July 2025, it was their first album since Til the Casket Drops in 2009.
That's nearly 16 years between Clipse albums.
Pusha T and Malice could have easily treated the project like a reunion record — make the album, play some shows, collect the flowers and disappear again.
Instead, the opposite seems to be happening.
Clipse toured extensively following the album, and now Push says they're already back to making music.
Even Fam-Lay chimed in during The Breakfast Club interview to say the new material is sounding crazy.
In other words:
Clipse appears to be a functioning rap group again.
And that's probably the biggest news here.
Let God Sort Em Out Put Clipse Right Back at the Top
The enthusiasm for another Clipse project makes more sense when you look at what happened with Let God Sort Em Out.
Produced entirely by Pharrell, the album featured Kendrick Lamar, Nas, John Legend, Tyler, the Creator, Stove God Cooks, Ab-Liva and The-Dream.
It also proved that a Clipse reunion wasn't just nostalgia.
The album earned multiple nominations at the 2026 Grammy Awards, including Album of the Year and Best Rap Album.
Clipse also took home the Grammy for Best Rap Performance for "Chains & Whips," featuring Kendrick Lamar and Pharrell Williams.
Not bad for a group that hadn't released an album in nearly 16 years.
So When Is the New Pusha T Album Coming Out?
That's the part we don't know yet.
Pusha T hasn't announced a release date, title or tracklist for the finished project.
And while several reports have identified it as a solo Pusha T album produced by Pharrell, Push didn't explicitly spell out which of the projects was complete during the interview.
What we do know is:
One project is finished.
Another is being worked on.
Pharrell is involved.
Pusha T is making solo music.
And more Clipse music is coming.
That's already enough to make the next year pretty interesting.
Could We Really Get Another Clipse Album This Soon?
That's what makes this announcement surprising.
Clipse fans waited from 2009 until 2025 for another album.
Now we could potentially get more Clipse music without another decade-and-a-half disappearing act.
And creatively, it makes sense.
Pusha T, Malice and Pharrell have a musical relationship stretching back decades. Let God Sort Em Out wasn't an attempt to recreate 2002. It showed what Clipse sounds like now — older, sharper and with a hell of a lot more history behind them.
Apparently, they still have more to say.
There's even another possibility floating around.
When Charlamagne Tha God asked about a potential Malice solo album, Push suggested that might happen too.
So let's do the math:
New Pusha T music.
More Clipse.
Pharrell producing.
And maybe even a Malice solo project.
Virginia isn't exactly taking the year off.
Pusha T + Pharrell + Clipse: What's Next?
For now, we're waiting on titles, release dates and an official announcement.
But the bigger picture is already clear.
The Clipse comeback wasn't the end of the story.
It may have been the beginning of another run.
After Let God Sort Em Out reminded everyone what happens when Pusha T, Malice and Pharrell get into a studio together, they're apparently going right back to work.
And considering Clipse fans once had to wait nearly 16 years between albums?
We'll take it.
More Clipse is coming.
And this time, hopefully, nobody needs to wait until 2041 to hear it.
