Hope you are sitting down for this and have a paper bag to breathe into because I’m hearing the future is not looking good for Dan and Serena. Gaaahhh! I know, I know, come here and I’ll hold you. Sources tell me that in season two, Dan and Serena will be up and down and all around and everywhere except happy coupledom. The crazy-good news, though? Bluck or Chair or whatever you want to call them are so on. Apparently, the producers have noticed the crazy-good chemistry that lies within that naughty-by-nature duo, and there’ll be much more of them ahead. I’m actually told they will be “the couple” moving forward. (Holler if you’re happy in the comments! I’ll meet you there.)

Gossip Girl Season 2 Spoilers

According to E’s Kristin, Michelle Trachtenberg has not been asked back for the second season of Gossip Girl.

Is Trachtenberg such a bitch that they are not going to ask her back, or are they just going in a different direction?

I’ve heard conflicting reports about Michelle Trachtenberg being on the new season of Gossip Girl. Do you know if she’ll be back?

I’m told there has been a little back-and-forth but that so far, M.T. has not been asked back for season two. Michelle herself said: “[Josh Schwartz] has told everyone that everyone is coming back and that it’s going to be like a crazy, wild cast of a million people, so I’d love to, I think it’d be great fun. It’s a character I’ve just thoroughly enjoyed…and pretty sexy.” Schwartz-love, bring her back so I can practice my Tae-Bo kicks at the screen! Wouldn’t be as much fun without someone to boil our blood.

Gossip Girl Season One Episode One Recap

Gossip Girl is narrated by by Veronica Mars. Not really, well yes really, but the actor that played Veronica Mars, Kristen Bell. She is an anonymous blogger, named, get this, Gossip Girl.

Gossip Girl spills the beans that queen bitch, Serena van der Woodsen (Blake Lively) is back after some kind of exile. She’s been at boarding school. You know what happens and boarding school don’t you? Lesbian sex that’s what.

The episode starts with Serena getting off at Grand Central at the same time as Dan (Penn Badgley) and Jenny Humphrey (Taylor Momsen). Dan and Jenny spent the weekend with their mom, who is taking a time out from her marriage. Dan gives Serena the I want to hump you eye. Serena doesn’t know who he is. They go to the same school. Dan = nerd.

The Waldorfs are having a classy party, rumor spreads that Serena is black, I mean back. Blair Waldorf (Leighton Meester), hearing the news, decides she wants to do it with her boyfriend Nate Archibald (Chace Crawford). Blair is a virgin. Blair doesn’t get to seal the deal because her mom’s interrupts her by telling her Serena is in the house.

Nate sees Serena and you can tell he wants to bone her. Blair sees her and you can tell she is hating on her. Serena leaves to visit her brother, Eric van der Woodsen (Connor Paolo), in the hospital. Her brother, might have tried to kill himself.

Next we’re at the Humphrey’s kitchen, where Dad, Rufus Humphrey (Matthew Settle), makes breakfast. Jenny gets invited to some rich people party, becase she made the invites. We learn that the Humphrey’s are not as rich as the others at their school.

Skip to Serena running into Nate. She tells him she didn’t come back for him and that he is her best girls boyfriend. These two have some kind of a dirty past. Joy.

Next we see Dan on a bus with Chuck (Ed Westwick) and Nate. They have no idea who Dan is even though he goes to the same school as them. Dan is not one of the cool kids.

Blair makes it known that Serena is not invited to the big pary that Jenny made the invites for, in front of Kati (Nan Zhang), Isabel (Nicole Fiscella), and Jenny. It’s on.

Laters, Serena and Blair meet at a high class bar that serves martinis to high school kids. You know the kind of place. I mean I remember drinking martinis with the guys in high school after debate class. Yeah, that happens. Serena tells Blair that she’s sorry she didn’t tell her she was leaving, and that she is sorry she didn’t contact her. She also says she doesn’t want her new found spot as top cool girl. She just wants to be friends again. Cry. Blair seems to except the apology. Gossip Girl thinks Serena is hiding something.

Soon we learn what Serena is hiding. Chuck runs into her at the bar in the hotel his parents own. He tries to bang her after getting her a grilled cheese sandwich. What kind of girl doesn’t bang a guy after some hot grilled cheese? Chuck tells here he knows she had sex with Nate at a wedding, which is the reason she left town. At the same time Blair is trying to get with Nate and he comes clean too. Blair gives him the boot.

Dan runs into Serena (literally) and she drops her cell. Dan picks it up and goes to return it at the hotel Serena is staying at. Serena shows up and she uses Dan as an excuse to her mom as why she’s not going to the big party. They end up going out to see Dan’s band play.

Nate asks Blair out to dinner and tells her he is sorry. She excepts and just like that they are back together.

Serena’s mom, Lily van der Woodsen (Kelly Rutherford), as it turns out, used to date Dan’s dad, Nate. They broke up after he caught her sleeping with Trent Reznor on a tour bus. No I’m not making this up.

The episode ends at the big party. Chuck is hitting on Jenny, big time. She doesn’t seem to be able to tell him to screw off and Chuck keeps hitting harder and harder. He gets her alone and she texts Dan for help. Dan and Serena go to the party to help her. Serena gets major bitch stares for showing up at a party she was not invited to. Dan looks for his sister with Serena’s help. They find Chuck trying to rape Jenny on the roof. Dan punches Chuck and saves Jenny.

Dan, Serena, and Jenny leave in a cab. Dan and Serena are holding hands. Cue Gossip Girl who reminds us all that it’s to bad school is on Monday. Oh snap! What does that even mean?
